Well, I am sure you'd be surprised but the answer is "It's a division sign, silly."

In all honesty, I had no notion whether this ugly semi-straight angled sumbol had any name. I sure never used one. However, I just check a volume of Transitional Mathematics where this symbol along with "/" and "÷" is called as above - division sign.
