#0, Variations Of A Group of Numbers
Posted by Brendan (Guest) on Jul-05-01 at 08:01 PM
I wonder how to calculate the number of possible arrangements in a group of numbers.

An Example, usiung the numbers 1 and 0 only, how many possibilites are there in an 8 digit sequence.

1. 00000000
2. 00000001
3. 00000011
4. ...
n. 11111111

Where I'm trying to find n.

thanks for any help.

Forget for a moment about 8 digits. Take just one. How many possibilities are there? Take two. How many possibilities are there now? Take three. ... Do you see any pattern? Any regularity?
