Hi,I was wondering if you could inform me in detail, how one might be able to use the method of differences to prove an equation. In my case it relates to Pythagras' theorem. I have a sequence and I must gain the formula for it, with all working. SEQUENCE: 4 12 24 40 60 THANK YOU

My policy towards any help with homework is very simple. Since you have to do some reading any way - whether it's your textbook or my response - read the textbook. I shall help you if you have any specific difficulty in applying what you learned. I shall not solve your homework for you.Regards, Alexander Bogomolny
